    In a pulse-pounding thriller that came down to the final seconds, the Wesleyan men's basketball team came out on top in a 61-58 overtime win over Emory in the NCAA Elite 8 round played at Silloway Gymnasium on Saturday night. With the win, the Cardinals (30-1) continue an already historic season, advancing to the Final Four for the first time in program history.

    The Wesleyan men's basketball leaned on some heroic efforts from their backcourt duo on Saturday afternoon as Gabe Ravetz '23 and Nicky Johnson '25 combined for 60 points in the Cardinals' 83-76 victory over Bates from Silloway Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. Wesleyan (16-8, 7-3 NESCAC) has clinched a top four seed and will host a NESCAC Quarterfinal game on Saturday while Bates (7-17, 1-9 NESCAC) finishes the season on an eight-game losing streak.
  • Men’s Basketball Holds Off Tufts in Friday Night Thriller, 85-82

    On a night where Gabe Ravetz '23 broke the program's all-time three-point record, the Wesleyan men's basketball team managed to hold off Tufts for an 85-82 win from SIlloway Gymnasium. The Cardinals (15-8, 6-3) lock down a top four seed in the NESCAC Tournament, earning a home Quarterfinal game next Saturday. The Jumbos (17-6, 5-4 NESCAC) suffer just their second defeat in the last six games.

    After an even opening 17 minutes of play, a 17-0 Williams run over a six-minute span between the first and second halves loomed large, as the No. 17 nationally ranked Ephs maintained a comfortable advantage for the remainder of a 80-62 victory over the Wesleyan men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon from Silloway Gymnasium. Wesleyan (14-8, 5-3 NESCAC) managed a weekend split at home against two ranked foes, while the Ephs (19-3, 6-3 NESCAC) win their third straight.

    Leading by as many as 27 points in the first half, the Wesleyan men's basketball team held off a second half surge from No. 3 nationally ranked Middlebury, landing a landmark 89-85 victory on Friday night in a packed Silloway Gymnasium. Wesleyan (14-7, 5-2 NESCAC) gets back on the winning track after a pair of close defeats last weekend, while the Panthers (18-3, 6-2 NESCAC) see their eight-game win streak snapped.

    Leading by two with under 20 seconds remaining, the Wesleyan men's basketball team needed one more stop to all but secure a victory, however, Teja Singh buried a go-ahead three-pointer with 3.2 seconds left on what was the Continentals' fourth shot attempt of the possession. A last second heave from Preston Maccoux '23 didn't fall and the Cardinals (13-7, 4-2 NESCAC) dropped an 87-86 decision to the hands of Hamilton (14-7, 5-2 NESCAC) on Saturday afternoon from the Scott Field House.

    Two storied rivals battled it out on Friday night in yet another instant classic, with this one going to Amherst as the Mammoths overcame a nine-point deficit in the second half to defeat the Wesleyan men's basketball team, 71-67, from LeFrak Gymnasium. Wesleyan (13-6, 4-1 NESCAC) sees their 11-game win streak, third-longest in program history, snapped by the Mammoths (8-11, 3-3 NESCAC).
  • Men’s Basketball Holds Off UMass Dartmouth, 80-75; Win Streak Now Up to 11 Straight

    Leading by 12 points with 1:24 remaining, the Wesleyan men's basketball team saw UMass Dartmouth make a comeback and attempt a would-be game-tying three-pointer but Fritz Hauser '26 blocked Darius Peterson's shot, securing an 80-75 victory over the Corsairs. Wesleyan (13-5) are now winners of 11 straight, something the team has accomplished only twice prior in program history, while UMass Dartmouth (5-12) see their two-game win streak come to an end.
  • Men’s Basketball Stays Undefeated in the NESCAC with 75-70 win Over Trinity

    The Wesleyan men's basketball team continues their impressive play with a big win over the Trinity Bantams Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals claim their 10th straight victory and fourth straight NESCAC win to begin conference play. It was a balanced effort, with four Cardinals scoring 14 or more points to claim their 4th straight win over the Bantams dating back to the 2018-19 season. Wesleyan improves to 12-5 (4-0 NESCAC), while Trinity falls to 14-4 (2-2 NESCAC).
  • Men’s Basketball Pulls Off Comeback Victory over Yeshiva, 87-84

    Silloway Gymnasium was the site of an epic back-and-forth dual on Wednesday night, with the Wesleyan men's basketball team staging a comeback win to dispatch the visiting Yeshiva Maccabees, 87-84. The Cardinals, winners of nine straight, move to 11-5, while Yeshiva falls to 8-8.
  • Three-Point Shooting Lifts Men’s Basketball Past Conn. College, 69-64

    Playing against a stingy Connecticut College zone defense, the Wesleyan men's basketball team found openings and shot their way to a 69-64 victory on Sunday afternoon from Silloway Gymnasium. The Cardinals (10-5, 3-0 NESCAC) continue to roll, defeating the Camels (12-5, 3-1 NESCAC) to win their eighth straight game while now sitting as the only remaining unbeaten team in NESCAC play.
  • Men’s Basketball Ups Win Streak to Seven in 83-63 Victory over Mitchell

    The Wesleyan men's basketball team continued to roll, as the Cardinals shot a season-high 55.7 percent from the floor in a 83-63 victory over Mitchell on Wednesday night from Silloway Gymnasium. The Cardinals (9-5) are now undefeated in their last seven games while improving to 5-0 all-time against the Mariners (10-3).

    The Wesleyan men's basketball team continues to roll, defeating Colby 79-59 at the Margaret M. Crook Center in Maine to win their 6th straight game and second straight game to open NESCAC play. They were led by Nicky Johnson '25 who put through a career-high 28 points in 34 minutes for the Cards. Wesleyan advances to 8-5 (2-0 NESCAC) on the year, while Colby drops just their third game of the year to fall to 12-3 (0-2 NESCAC).
  • Men’s Basketball Opens NESCAC Play with 81-65 Comeback Win Over Bowdoin

    The Wesleyan men's basketball team opened NESCAC play Friday night with a decisive 81-65 victory over Bowdoin on the road. The Cardinals trailed 32-26 at the half, before exploding for 55 2nd half points to complete the come from behind victory. The Cardinals have now won five in a row, improving to 7-5 (1-0 NESCAC). Bowdoin drops their first NESCAC contest of the year falling to 6-7 (0-1 NESCAC).
  • Men’s Basketball Holds Off Amherst in 57-54 Victory

    Leading by as many as 19 in the first half, the Wesleyan men's basketball team saw Amherst claw their way back to just a two-point deficit with 13 seconds remaining but a stellar defensive stand on the final possession proved enough in the end as the Cardinals held off the Mammoths in a 57-54 win. Wesleyan (6-5) has won four straight and five of six while Amherst (4-7) has lost four of their last five.
  • Cardinals Put on Defensive Clinic to Capture Springfield Tournament Title

    In one of the most impressive defensive displays in program history, the Wesleyan men's basketball team played inspired basketball for 40 minutes in a 54-35 triumph over the host Pride as the Cardinals captured the Hampton Inn West Springfield / Naismith Classic title. Wesleyan's surge continues as the Cardinals have won three straight and four of the last five to move to 5-5 on the season. Springfield falls to 3-8 with the defeat.

    The Wesleyan men's basketball team rebounded after a tough loss at No. 5 Williams just a few days ago with a victory over previously undefeated Bridgewater State. Preston Maccoux '23 led the way for the Cardinals, pouring in a career-best 25 points as Wesleyan takes down the Bears 95-91. Wesleyan now improves to 3-5 while Bridgewater State falls to 9-1.
