    Randolph-Macon used a huge surge in the second quarter to push past the visiting University of Valley Forge Patriots 67-56 in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament Friday evening in Crenshaw Gymnasium. Sophomore Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) scored 17 points and set a new school and Old Dominion Athletic Conference record for points in a single season with 715, surpassing previous record-holder, R-MC's Megan Silva Schultz, who scored 714 points in a the 2005-2006 season.

    Junior Jayla Wade (Newport News, Va. / Heritage) made a baseline drive to break a 68-68 tie with 24 seconds remaining in the game to propel Randolph-Macon to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship in Salem, Va. on Sunday afternoon. It is R-MC's ninth ODAC Tournament Championship and first since 2014. It also avenged an earlier loss to the Wasps 84-77 on February 3 in Crenshaw Gym.

    Sophomore Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) registered her 24th double-double of the season and tied the ODAC Tournament record for rebounds in a game with 24 as the second-seeded Randolph-Macon women's basketball team eliminated No. 7 Bridgewater 76-58 Thursday evening in the quarterfinals of the 2018 ODAC Tournament at the Salem Civic Center.

    Randolph-Macon Head Coach Carroll LaHaye won her 600th game Saturday afternoon in action against the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s number one team, Lynchburg, 71-59 in conference action at Turner Gymnasium. LaHaye, in her 36th season at the helm of Randolph-Macon, is just the 59th coach in the NCAA across all divisions to reach the milestone of 600 wins.  LaHaye has spent her entire career coaching the Yellow Jackets.
