Allen finished the game with 50 points and nine made three-point buckets, as the Tartans win in Pittsburgh closed their non-University Athletic Association (UAA) slate with a 9-2 record while Dickinson is now 4-7. -

December 08, 2024The 22nd-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men’s basketball team took home a huge win against 21st-ranked Middlebury College on Sunday, December 8 in the second game of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Challenge for both teams. The Tartans topped the Panthers, 80-75, after hitting a season-high 12 three-pointer to move to 7-1 for the year while the Panthers drop to 6-2. -
#18 Carnegie Mellon had Five Score in Double Figures in 90-89 Overtime Win Against Hanover
November 24, 2024The Carnegie Mellon men’s basketball team, ranked 18th nationally, traveled to Indiana for the Earlham Classic. On Sunday, they competed in the second day of competition, facing Hanover College and defeated the Panthers 90-89 in overtime. The Tartans are now 5-1 overall while the Panthers are now 4-1. -

The win marks the first for the Tartans over a non-Division III opponent since the 2008-09 season when Carnegie Mellon defeated Indiana University of Pennsylvania. -

December 03, 2013The Carnegie Mellon University men’s basketball team traveled to Huntingdon, Pa. on Tuesday, December 3 to play its first road contest of the 2013-14 season and dropped 70-67 contest to Juniata College on a last second basket. Senior Asad Meghani (Carrollton, Texas/Greenhill School) paced the Tartans with a career-high 24 points on 7-of-11 from behind the arc. The loss was the first of the season for the Tartans, as they are now 4-1 while the Eagles improve to 5-1. -
Carnegie Mellon Wins Home DoubleTree Invitational with 68-62 Victory Over #8 Hampden-Sydney
December 01, 2013The Carnegie Mellon University men’s basketball team competed in the championship game of the Carnegie Mellon / DoubleTree Invitational on Sunday, December 1 against 8th-ranked Hampden-Sydney College and upset the Tigers 68-62. The win marks the first for the Tartans over a ranked opponent since February 2012 and the first over a top 10 team since 2008 when they defeated then ranked #1 Washington University in St. Louis. With the victory on Sunday afternoon, Carnegie Mellon improves to 4-0 while Hampden-Sydney is now 4-2.
