Thomason to Lead Randolph Women’s Basketball Program
August 28, 2025LYNCHBURG, Va.- Randolph director of athletics Tom Galbraith announced Thursday the hiring of Polly Thomason as the next head coach of the WildCats women's basketball program. She replaces Steve Lanpher who left for an assistant position with Division I Cleveland State. Thomason will assume her duties at the start of September. -

Gallo joins the Herons following the Huskies' 2025 National Championship run. -
Titans’ Historic Postseason Trek Concludes Against Pioneers
March 20, 2025The UW-Oshkosh women’s basketball team made its return to the NCAA Division III Championship semifinal round on Thursday, facing Smith College at the Cregger Center in Salem, Va. The Titans led as late as midway through the fourth quarter before the Pioneers etched out a 49-47 win to reach the national championship game. -

The Titans have now advanced the furthest in the national tournament under head coach Brad Fischer and the deepest since winning the 1996 national championship. -

March 14, 2025SALEM, Va. - Carroll University Senior Olivia Rangel has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Jostens Trophy, as announced Friday by the Rotary Club of Salem, Va. Each year, the Jostens Trophy honors one male and one female from a list of 10 finalists from each gender, which recognizes the most outstanding men's and women's Division-III basketball players of the year. Rangel is the fifth Pioneer since 2010 to be named a Jostens Trophy finalist, joining John Hoch (2010), Lyndsey Seewald (2011), Emily DeNoyer (2014), and Malory Christenson (2016). -

Historic Season Ends for W&J with Loss to 18th ranked Ohio Wesleyan in NCAA Tournament's Second Round
March 08, 2025DELAWARE, Ohio – A historic season for the Washington & Jefferson College women's basketball team came to a close with a 78-65 loss to 18th ranked Ohio Wesleyan University Saturday evening in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament at OWU's Branch Rickey Arena. The Presidents finishes the season with a 24-5 overall record. The loss concludes a fantastic four-year run for the Presidents' senior class. The group wraps up as W&J's all-time winningest class with 94 wins. The group helped W&J achieve history on Friday evening when the Red and Black downed 23rd ranked Messiah University by a 76-72 score in overtime. The victory was the first for the program in the NCAA Tournament. The 24 wins also equals the single-season high for the program.
