Road warriors head to Salem
New York University cruised to victory at Gettysburg and UW-Stout won a thriller in Scranton to complete a weekend in which road teams won all four NCAA Tournament sectionals. The Violets and Blue Devils will be joined by Smith and UW-Oshkosh in next week's national semifinals in Salem, Va.

Sweet 16: Smith, UWO knock out hosts
Smith ousted unbeaten Bowdoin from the Tournament for the second season in a row while UW-Oshkosh dominated the clash of the Titans in Bloomington. Elsewhere, Scranton rallied to victory, Gettysburg gritted through another round, and Baldwin Wallace edged Ohio Wesleyan in the Division III women's basketball sectional semifinals.

Three WIAC teams advanced through the second round of the NCAA Tournament, as UW-Stout ousted Whitman, UW-Oshkosh shut down Bethel, and UW-Whitewater edged conference rival UW-La Crosse. Elsewhere, Smith once again found late-game magic, McMurry won the Texas regional, and big runs propelled Baldwin Wallace and SUNY Geneseo to victory.
