Junior center Carol Cayo scored 28 points and pulled down 11 rebounds but the MSOE women's basketball team fell to Concordia-Wisconsin 64-55 Saturday afternoon at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. For Cayo, it was her eighth double-double on the year. Cayo also blocked four shots.
The Raiders tried to mount a furious comeback late in the second half but could only pull within nine as the Falcons held on to win. Sophomore forward Heather Miller had 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds for MSOE while junior guard Marguerite Wellstein put in nine points.
Next for the Raiders (6-9, 3-5 NAC) is Concordia-Chicago Wednesday at 7 p.m. in River Forest, Ill.
