Rosemont Defeats Baruch in CUNYAC/CSAC Challenge

The Baruch College Bearcats lost 71-61 to the Ravens of Rosemont College in the CUNYAC/CSAC Challenge on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia.

The visiting Bearcats owned a 35-29 halftime lead, but the hosts scored nine of the first 12 points of the second half to tie the contest at 38 at the 17:09 mark.

The two teams played a tightly contest from that point, but momentum changed in the final 10 minutes as the Ravens went on an 8-2 run to break open a tight contest into a 61-53 advantage with 7:53 left.

The Bearcats got as close as six points twice in the final five minutes, but timely shooting lifted the hosts to the win in the first men's basketball meeting between these two teams.

William Sixsmith and Bryler Paige were tops in the team scoring column with 15 points each. Andre Harris contributed 11 points.

Nasir Cassel led the Ravens with 18 points.
