CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – Five different Ozarks players scored in double-figures to lead the Eagles to an 82-73 win Thursday over visiting LeTourneau.

Ronnie Dodd scored 18 points and grabbed 11 defensive rebounds for the Eagles while Andrew Cummings scored 11 of his 17 points at the free throw line to lead Ozarks.

Jarrod Hudgens (Montgomery, Texas/Montgomery) scored a team-high 18 points and Deitrich Williams (Fort Worth, Texas/Grace Prep) added 17 points for the YellowJackets.

Hudgens also put his defensive skills on display as he recorded six steals in the game, a single-game high for any LeTourneau player in the 2011-12 season.

Ozarks (4-10) improved to 2-9 in the American Southwest Conference's East Division standings.

LeTourneau (3-11, 2-9 ASC East) shot better than 43 percent from the field in each half, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Eagles, who shot 55 percent (26 of 47) from the floor for the game.

The Eagles also helped themselves at the free throw line, making 82 percent (27 of 33) of their charity shots.

The Jackets stayed with the Ozarks for most of the first half, but a 10-3 between the 8:22 and 1:50 marks of the period stretched the Ozarks lead to 38-26.

Jourdan Hughes (Dallas, Texas/SW Christian College) chipped in with eight points for the Jackets. Both Hughes and Williams handed out five assists apiece to their LeTourneau teammates in the game.

The Eagles became the first team in a month to beat a visiting Jackets squad – LeTourneau's last loss on the road came Dec. 12 at Howard Payne.

The Jackets will aim to return to their winning ways Saturday when they travel to Richardson, Texas to face UT-Dallas, the first-place team in the ASC East. Tipoff between the Comets and YellowJackets is scheduled for 3 p.m.
