DOVER, Del. - Wesley College's Nick Doran (Staten Island, N.Y./Port Richmond) and Kevin Johnson (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) trapped an inbounds pass with 2.8 seconds left and Doran came up with the steal to clinch a 69-67 win over visiting Salisbury.

The Wolverines (13-6, 9-1 CAC) extended their win streaks to eight games overall and 14 in a row at home.

The Sea Gulls (7-11, 2-7 CAC) had tied the game at 67-67 with 44 seconds left on a bucket by Mike Maczko.  On Wesley's next possession, Rudy Thomas (Milton, Del./Sussex Tech) was fouled and sank a pair of free throws with 30 seconds left that proved to be the difference.

The rest of the game turned into a see saw battle with 10 ties or lead changes.  A jumper by McGrew gave the Sea Gulls a five point advantage, but field goals by Paul Reynolds (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna)Eric Selby (Wilmington, Del./Howard) and McAndrew erased the deficit and made it 64-63 in favor of Wesley with 2:44 left.

A free throw by Maczko tied the score, but the Wolverines responded with a three-point play by Reynolds to make it 67-64 with 1:47 on the clock.

Atkins made a free throw to set up Maczko's game-tying jumper before Wesley pulled out the win.

Six Wolverines scored between nine and 15 points.  Darrell Johnson (New Castle, Del./Howard) led the way with 15 points and Reynolds finished with 13 points.  McAndrew scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Thomas matched him in scoring, powered by three threes.   Kevin Johnson and Selby each netted nine points.

McGrew hit 8-of-9 field goals and had 19 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out.  Maczko also had 19 points in the game and had four steals.  Devin Posey had six steals in the contest.

While both teams shot over 50 percent in the game, Wesley limited the Sea Gulls' second leading scorer, Drew Pearman, to just 2-of-7 shooting and four points in the game.

St. Mary's (Md.) completed a season sweep of Mary Washington to remain tied with Wesley atop the CAC standings.
