November 10, 2018 @ETBU_WBSK Dominates Schreiner Moving to 2-0 KERRVILLE, Texas – Using an attacking offense and stifling defense, the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team prevailed 86-43 over Schreiner University. With eight players scoring at least six points in the win, ETBU improves to 2-0 on the young season and drops SU to 0-1 in their first game of the year.
November 8, 2018 @ETBU_WBSK Opens 2018-19 Season in Fashion in Abilene ABILENE, Texas – Dominating the tempo of the game with a fast-paced offense from start to finish, the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team started the 2018-19 campaign on the right note with an 86-52 win over the McMurry University War Hawks at Kimbrell Arena. This is the most points ETBU has scored in a single game in the Rusty Rainbolt era as ETBU is 1-0.
March 19, 2018 Women's top 25 poll released The final Top 25 poll of the season, including NCAA Tournament results, has East Texas Baptist in 11th after its surprising run to the sectional finals. Plus Rochester Tech and St. Joseph's (Maine) make their first ever appearance in our national rankings.
March 12, 2018 D3hoops.com 2018 women's All-South Region team Randolph-Macon's Kelly Williams was the unanimous choice as South Region Player of the Year. Oglethorpe's Savannah LeGate, who was SAA Player of the Year, is Rookie of the Year. And Rusty Rainbolt who turned East Texas Baptist from a three-win team to a near national semifinalist is Coach of the Year.
March 9, 2018 NESCAC sweeps through Sweet 16 The NESCAC put its stamp on the round of 16 with three dominant performances by Amherst, Bowdoin and Tufts. Elsewhere ETBU continued its run, UR won the battle of Rochester and Thomas More earned a rematch with Hope.
March 9, 2018 @ETBU_WBSK Headed to Elite 8; Upsets #6 St. Thomas MARSHALL, Texas – It took an extra five minutes to finish, but the East Texas Baptist University women’s basketball team continues their magical run as they stunned #6 University of St. Thomas (Minn.), 61-58 in overtime. ETBU is heading to their first Elite Eight in program history and now have a 25-6 record winning their last six games.
