December 10, 2018 #14 @ETBU_WBSK Defense Pushes Tigers to 9-1 MARSHALL, Texas – Outscoring Howard Payne University 49-22 in the second half, the #12/14 East Texas Baptist University women’s basketball team ran off an 81-49 victory over the Yellow Jackets on Monday night at Ornelas Gym. The Tigers are on a three-game winning streak posting a 9-1 overall record and are 3-1 in American Southwest Conference East Division play.
December 8, 2018 @ETBU_WBSK Moves to 8-1 with Win Over SRSU MARSHALL, Texas – Holding the Sul Ross State University to 28% shooting throughout the game, the #12/14 East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team used three 20+ point quarters on their way to an 82-54 victory over the Lobos inside Ornelas Gym. This win puts ETBU at 8-1 overall and 2-1 in the American Southwest Conference East Division. ETBU had four players reach double-digits with the leading scorer coming from Kendrick Clark, who posted 13 points while Valerie Matlock, Amanda Wilson, and Kayla Bise each scored 12 points. Anna Moss collected a team-high seven rebounds while Sydney Saxton dished out three assists. SRSU posted the two highest scorers in the game with Makayla Hamilton scoring 20 points while Chandre Nunez had 16.
November 17, 2018 @ETBU_WBSK Rings Up Schreiner MARSHALL, Texas – In a game that would celebrate a historic season and symbolize their American Southwest Conference Championship run from 2017-18, the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team cruised past the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs, 71-52, on their first victory at Ornelas Gymnasium improving to 3-0 on the season. ETBU jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the first four minutes of the game and never looked back.
November 10, 2018 @ETBU_WBSK Dominates Schreiner Moving to 2-0 KERRVILLE, Texas – Using an attacking offense and stifling defense, the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team prevailed 86-43 over Schreiner University. With eight players scoring at least six points in the win, ETBU improves to 2-0 on the young season and drops SU to 0-1 in their first game of the year.
November 8, 2018 @ETBU_WBSK Opens 2018-19 Season in Fashion in Abilene ABILENE, Texas – Dominating the tempo of the game with a fast-paced offense from start to finish, the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team started the 2018-19 campaign on the right note with an 86-52 win over the McMurry University War Hawks at Kimbrell Arena. This is the most points ETBU has scored in a single game in the Rusty Rainbolt era as ETBU is 1-0.
