BRISTOL, R.I. – For the fourth straight game, the Roger Williams University Men's Basketball team had a second-half lead erased, as Coast Guard Academy held off the Hawks late with a 66-65 win Saturday afternoon.

The Hawks began the game with six straight points on buckets Chris Bardwell (North Andover, Mass.) and Josh Syska (Peabody, Mass.) before Coast Guard responded with six points to tie the game.

The Hawks ultimately took a 30-14 lead on a three by Zac Thompson (Woodbridge, Conn.) with 6:37 left in the half for their largest advantage of the game. RWU would ultimately go up by nine (35-26) into the second half.

It would not be until the 5:23 mark, when Ryan McNeil (Plymouth, Ind.) put in a basket to tie the game at 57. He would later knock down a three-pointer with four minutes left to give the Bears the lead.

The Hawks would come back late in the contest, with Joseph Henry (Medway, Mass.) converting a three-point play with under a minute to go to put RWU back up by one (65-64).
