The Division III basketball season is around the corner. With it comes plenty of work especially at Hoopsville.

There was also plenty of news in the offseason that kept things interesting. But how should we cover it? Save it for the start of the season and miss out on in-season news? Not worry about it, but feel like we missed some important items to discuss? Maybe cover it during the off-season, despite there being more pressing things to attend to in our private lives during the off-season.

This year, we elected to throw a couple of audio-only podcasts together in the weeks leading up to the first games.

Below you will find the four podcasts in reverse order of how they were released. Feel free to click on them and enjoy. The first deals with the new national coordinator for referees on the men's side (women's side will be a conversation in the future). The second podcast handles the monumental changes at WashU in women's basketball and the return of a familiar name in CCIW men's basketball. The third podcast talks with three of the younger coaches, all former DIII standouts, who are getting their first opportunities to head their own programs. The final podcast chats with new coaches who have unique stories of how they ended up with their new head coaching jobs.

Podcast 4: Unique Opportunities

Podcast 3: Young Guns Takeover

Podcast 2: WashU Changes

Podcast 1: Officials Coordinator (Jim Haney Interview)
