Adrian's Ben Taylor averaged 30 points in a win against Bluffton and a loss to Mount Union, playing 71 minutes in the two contests. The senior shot 62.5% from the floor and 54.5% from three-point range, adding four assists and four steals.

Sam Thomas, McMurry's sixth man, was their leading scorer in three games, including 14 points on 6-for-6 shooting in the team's upset of Division I Texas-Arlington. He was perfect from three-point range on the week and shot 71.4% from the floor. Thomas averaged 11.7 points per game in 19 average minutes of action.

Ursinus' Richard Barrett set a Centennial Conference scoring record with 43 points against Widener, averaging 29 points and 9.5 rebounds for the week. The sophomore also blocked six shots and had 2.5 assists per game.

Devean George, a member of preseason Team of the Year, averaged 37.5 points in two games, including 47 in a four-overtime win against Division II St. Cloud State. The senior added 12.5 rebounds in his 37.5 minutes of action.

Anderson's Chaz Smoot scored 44 points in 51 minutes over two games, shooting 63% from the floor and 82% from the foul line.

On the women's side, Johns Hopkins' Leslie Ritter continued in the Blue Jays' line of great point guards, averaging 24 points and eight assists in two games. The junior shot 80% from the line in two wins.

Jen Swinehart averaged 18 points and 6.5 rebounds for Baldwin-Wallace. The senior shot 8-for-14 from three-point range and 63.6% from the floor.

Wisconsin-Stevens Point forward/center Kari Groshek shot 13-for-22 from the floor, averaging 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds for the week to go with three blocked shots in 49 minutes.

At center, Marymount's Sandi Hutko scored 35 points in two games against Division II competition. The senior added 9.5 rebounds and was perfect from the line.
