Bates senior guard Colleen McCrave became Division III's all-time leader in steals this week, averaging eight steals in two games. She added 7.5 assists, 7.5 rebounds and 10.0 points per game on 9-for-16 shooting from the floor.

Thirty-four points in 34 minutes helped Emory's Christie Howard make the Team of the Week, but so did 100% free-throw shooting, a 6.0 rebound and 4.5 assist average and a 3-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Cortland State's Kristie Meyer shot 61% from the floor and 47% from three-point range in two games for the Red Dragons, including a career-high 24 points in a win against previously unbeaten Geneseo 79-70 on Jan. 9. Cortland is off to its best start (7-1) since a 9-1 record to open the 1990-91 season.

Kristen Venne helped Susquehanna to the championship of the Gettysburg Days Inn Tournament with 23 points per game on 60% shooting from the floor while adding an 8.0 rebound average and 3.5 steals. Venne has reached double figures in scoring in 25 consecutive games.

There wasn't a lot of playing time last week for Wisconsin-Stevens Point's Amanda Tosic, but there was a lot of production -- 24 points and 10 rebounds in 36 minutes of action over two games. The freshman center shot 60% from the floor and was 6-for-7 from the foul line.

On the men's side, all Wabash's Josh Estelle does is score points. Well, that and hang on to the ball (only six turnovers in two games of action) and rebound (5.0 average). Estelle averaged 31 points over two games, shooting 16-for-27, 6-for-11 and 24-for-29. And consistency? Try 31 points in each of the two games.

Wilkes junior Dave Jannuzzi makes his first appearance of the season on the Team of the Week, averaging 23 points and seven assists (to 1.3 turnovers) over three games. Jannuzzi was named the Most Valuable Player of the Ramada Plaza Hotel/Colonel Classic.

Nobody could stop Brian Wilder at Catholic U.'s Coca-Cola Classic this past weekend as he averaged 29 points and 10 rebounds in the tournament split. The 6-4 senior shot 18-for-21 from the free-throw line and 20-for-38 from the floor in the two games.

Aaron Winkle looks like he's ready for the Calvin-Hope rivalry game this Saturday as he averaged 21 points in 26 minutes for Calvin. The junior added 11 rebounds and eight assists in the two games while shooting 14-for-17 from the line to help Calvin to its best start since 1992-93 at 10-2.

Anderson's Chaz Smoot has made three of the four Teams of the Week and once again was the best center nominated as he averaged 22.5 points and 10.5 rebounds for the Ravens. The junior even got into the act from three-point range (1-for-3) and was 8-for-9 from the charity stripe.
