Men's Dan Capkin
Capkin averaged 20.0 points and shot 50 percent from the field in a 2-0 week for the Bullets. He scored 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting (4-of-9 from beyond the arc) in a 71-56 first-round win over Elizabethtown before dropping in 12 points in a 8-56 victory over SUNY Geneseo in the Bullets' tipoff tournament championship game.
Aaron Thompson
Thompson had 26 points in Washington U.'s 87-82 overtime victory at No. 2 Augustana. Thompson was 10-for-18 from the field, including 5-of-9 from three-point range in the victory.
Jamel Sabree
Sabree scored 29 points, 20 in the first half, in a 69-64 victory over MIT in the championship game of MSOE's Engineers Classic. Sabree was 10-for-13 from the field and 9-for-10 from the foul line. In the tournament opener against RPI, Sabree grabbed six boards and had ten points in the 48-45 MSOE win. For the week, he averaged 19.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. He shot an outstanding 13-for-14 from the foul line, averaging 92.3% for the weekend.
Andy Horton
Horton had double-doubles in each of first two games, with 12 points and 14 rebounds in Beloit's opener at Benedictine and 25 points and 12 rebounds at Dubuque. He finished the week averaging 17.7 points and 10.0 rebounds in three games.
Matt Sosna
Sosna scored 42 of his 52 points for the week during Widener's tipoff tournament, including 29 in Saturday's final against York (Pa). He shot 12-of-17 from the floor in that contest, en route to hitting 21-of-30 overall.
Women's Shauna Kelly
Kelly averaged 20.5 points in a four-game week. She had a game-best 27 points, including 17-for-19 from the line against Roger Williams. She also averaged 5.0 rebounds and shot 30-for-36 from the line for the week.
Meredith Levison
Levison averaged 17.7 points in three games as Marymount won its season-opening tournament. She shot 17-for-25 from the floor, 11-for-16 from three-point range and 8-for-12 from the four line, including a 9-for-12 performance and five three-pointers in an 86-71 second-round win against Ferrum.
Biz Richmann
Richmann, who is 5-10 but usually draws an opponent 6-foot or taller, scored 39 points and had 17 rebounds in 74 minutes for the Stormy Petrels, shooting 16-for-27 from the floor.
Jessica Laing
Laing averaged 20.3 points and 14.7 rebounds with three double-doubles, going for 25 and 12 in the title game of Skidmore's tournament and 19-17 in an opening-round win vs. Misericordia. She has double-doubles in all four games this year and 39 double-doubles in two-plus seasons.
Christina Solari
Solari had 16 points and seven rebounds in the Titans’ 77-76 win against No. 3 DePauw on the opening night, then came back with 21 points and 17 rebounds in a 72-69 win against No. 6 Washington University. Solari was 7-of-13 from the field and 7-of-8 from the line in the title game. For the week she was 12-of-21 from the field (.573) and 13-of -14 (.929) from the line, averaging 18.5 points and 12.0 rebounds.
