Scranton pressured Western Maryland into turning the ball over 24 times and limited the Green Terror to only 30.8 percent shooting from the field. The Lady Royals also canned 14 of 19 free throw attempts (73.7%) in the second half. Lady Royal sophomore guard Kate Pierangeli, who was named first-team all-MAC Freedom earlier in the day, suffered a foot injury in the first half and played only nine minutes. She is questionable for Saturday's game at Messiah. Earlier in the day, Russo was named second-team all-conference. |
