November 8, 2017 Wooster Competitive With Ohio State in Second Half Scoring, Buckeyes top Fighting Scots 88-63 With plenty of support in the stands, The College of Wooster men's basketball team capped a tremendous weekend in terms of opportunities with an exhibition game against Ohio State University on Sunday afternoon at Value City Arena. While the score – 88-63 – didn't go the Fighting Scots' way, Wooster turned in several positives to take into the regular season, set to begin with the Al Van Wie/Wooster Rotary Classic opener versus Oberlin College at 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 at Timken Gymnasium.

III Record to 15th Straight Championships DELAWARE, Ohio – Senior Dan Fanelly sank two free throws with :09.2 remaining to extend The College of Wooster's lead to two possessions, as the Fighting Scots won their league-leading 16th North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, earned the NCAC's automatic bid to the program's NCAA Div. III record 15-straight tournament, and picked up head coach Steve Moore's 800th career win during a 76-72 win over Ohio Wesleyan University at Branch Rickey Arena on Saturday afternoon.
