February 25, 2017 Trine Punches NCAA Ticket with MIAA Tournament Win ANGOLA, Ind.—The No. 18 Trine women's basketball team won its first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament Championship on Saturday night with a 49-42 victory over Calvin in Hershey Hall. With the win, the Thunder earned an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.
