March 12, 2018 D3hoops.com 2018 women's All-South Region team Randolph-Macon's Kelly Williams was the unanimous choice as South Region Player of the Year. Oglethorpe's Savannah LeGate, who was SAA Player of the Year, is Rookie of the Year. And Rusty Rainbolt who turned East Texas Baptist from a three-win team to a near national semifinalist is Coach of the Year.
March 2, 2018 Randolph-Macon Advances In NCAA Tournament With 67-56 Victory Over Valley Forge Randolph-Macon used a huge surge in the second quarter to push past the visiting University of Valley Forge Patriots 67-56 in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament Friday evening in Crenshaw Gymnasium. Sophomore Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) scored 17 points and set a new school and Old Dominion Athletic Conference record for points in a single season with 715, surpassing previous record-holder, R-MC's Megan Silva Schultz, who scored 714 points in a the 2005-2006 season.

February 25, 2018 Randolph-Macon Wins ODAC Championship With 72-68 Win Over E&H Junior Jayla Wade (Newport News, Va. / Heritage) made a baseline drive to break a 68-68 tie with 24 seconds remaining in the game to propel Randolph-Macon to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship in Salem, Va. on Sunday afternoon. It is R-MC's ninth ODAC Tournament Championship and first since 2014. It also avenged an earlier loss to the Wasps 84-77 on February 3 in Crenshaw Gym.
February 22, 2018 Williams Ties Rebound Mark as #2 R-MC Women's Hoops Moves to Semis Sophomore Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) registered her 24th double-double of the season and tied the ODAC Tournament record for rebounds in a game with 24 as the second-seeded Randolph-Macon women's basketball team eliminated No. 7 Bridgewater 76-58 Thursday evening in the quarterfinals of the 2018 ODAC Tournament at the Salem Civic Center.
