May 18, 2018 NBA Officiating Legend Bob Delaney `85 to Receive NJCU Presidential Medallion at 2018 Commencement JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Legendary National Basketball Association (NBA) referee Bob Delaney `85, who stepped down this fall as the League’s Vice President, Referee Operations and Director of Officials after a 30-year career with the League, will be awarded the Presidential Medallion when New Jersey City University holds its 2018 commencement ceremony on Tuesday, May 22 at the Prudential Center in Newark at 9:00 a.m.  The event will be live streamed at njcu.edu/gradlive.

March 2, 2018 #NJCUMBB Eliminated from 20th NCAA Tournament After Faltering in Second Half PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Union College (NY) used an 11-0 run over a span of 3:22 late in the second half to erase a four-point New Jersey City University lead and the Gothic Knights' 85th season of intercollegiate men's basketball and 20th appearance in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournament came to an end with a 76-72 NCAA First Round loss to Union College (NY) on March 2 at Plattsburgh State's Memorial Hall.
March 2, 2018 Veteran Athletic Director Alice De Fazio Retires; Ken Heaton Named Interim Director JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) |  After 11 years as director of athletics at New Jersey City University and 27 years of overall service to the institution, Alice De Fazio will retire from her position at the University on March 1. Assistant athletics director Ken Heaton will be appointed as Interim Director of Athletics while a national search is being conducted to hire a permanent successor.

February 26, 2018 GOTHIC KNIGHTS DANCING AGAIN! NJCU Men’s Basketball Selected to Second Consecutive NCAA Tournament INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University men's basketball will be returning to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second year in a row. The Gothic Knights have been selected to participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournament for the 20th time in school history and the 18th time as a Division III program. The 64-team bracket was released on February 26.
