February 17, 2018 William Paterson Shocks #NJCUMBB in NJAC Quarterfinals, 81-78 JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University used an 18-2 rally in the final 6:17 of the game to try to overcome a 23-point second half deficit and pulled within one with 20 seconds left but couldn't force overtime as No. 6 seeded William Paterson University shocked No. 3 seeded NJCU, 81-78, in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Quarterfinals played February 17 at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center ('Coach Charlie Brown Court').
February 14, 2018 #NJCUMBB Still Ranked No. 1 in Second NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Rankings INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University's men's basketball team is still the No. 1 ranked team in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region. The Gothic Knights remain the region's No. 1 seed in the second weekly rankings released by the National Collegiate Athletic Association on February 14. It is the 10th consecutive week NJCU is regionally ranked dating back to the 2016-17 campaign.
February 14, 2018 #NJCUMBB Upset at Stockton in Regular Season Finale; Knights Will Host NJAC Quarterfinals Saturday GALLOWAY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | The New Jersey City University men's basketball team had its worst performance of the season and it came at a bad time— facing a Stockton University club that needed to win to keep its New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament hopes alive. Stockton built an 11-point halftime advantage and extended it in the second half before upsetting the Gothic Knights, 87-66, on February 14 at the Stockton Sports Center.
February 10, 2018 In battle of regionally ranked rivals, NJCU downs Ramapo, 89-84 JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | For the second time this week, New Jersey City University backed up its No. 1 ranking in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region with a win it had to have. In a see-saw second half, sophomore power forward Sam Toney (Plainfield, NJ/Williamstown)helped break open a tight game with two athletic plays in the final five minutes while assisting on a key three-pointer by junior point guard Shaquan Worthy (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) as the Gothic Knight men's basketball team stopped Ramapo College, 89-84, in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on February 10 at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center ('Coach Charlie Brown Court').

February 7, 2018 Regionally No. 1 Ranked #NJCUMBB Gets Must Win Road Victory at Montclair State MONTCLAIR, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University learned just hours before tipoff it was the No. 1 ranked team in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region and the Gothic Knights proved it by getting a must road victory against the No. 4 ranked team in the region—Montclair State University. Sophomore power forward Sam Toney (Plainfield, NJ/Williamstown) generated his fourth consecutive double and 12th of the season to power five Gothic Knights in double figures and NJCU defeated Montclair State, 84-76, in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on February 7 at the Panzer Athletic Center.
