June 25, 2018 Lambert announces 2018-19 will be final year coaching Maryville Randy Lambert, who has been coaching Maryville for 38 seasons, has announced that No. 39 will be his last. The school announced that a succession plan is in place as well.

February 27, 2015 Shoffner's lay-up send Scots to USA South title game A Spencer Shoffner driving layup in the final seconds broke a 62-62 tie and gave Maryville College an upset victory over top seeded Averett University by the score of 64-62 in the 2015 USA South men's basketball tournament hosted in Danville, Virginia.
