February 23, 2016 Lutkenhaus' Late Charge Lifts UMW Men Past Wesley, 92-91 in OT, in CAC First Round Junior forward John Lutkenhaus drilled a three pointer with seven seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime, where the University of Mary Washington men's basketball team would capture a 92-91 win over Wesley College in the first round of the CAC Tournament on Tuesday night at Ron Rosner Arena. The Eagles improve to 15-11 overall, and advance to the CAC Tournament semifinal round for the sixth straight year. Four Eagles reached double-figures, led by T.J. Jones with 26 points.
November 15, 2015 Jones' 26 Points Lead Mary Washington Men Past Randolph-Macon, 83-66, in Season Lidlifter Junior guard T.J. Jones scored 26 points to lead the University of Mary Washington men's basketball team to an 83-66 victory over #26 Randolph-Macon College on Sunday afternoon in Ashland, Va., in both teams' season opener. Junior forward John Lutkenhaus added 15 points and sophomore Eric Shaw 12 for the Eagles.
June 25, 2015 Curry chooses Wheelock coach to lead men's program Matt LeVangie moved from one program with recent struggles to another as the Wheelock coach was named the next head men's basketball coach at Curry College. Wheelock assistant coach Mike Pollio fills the Wildcats' vacancy.
February 24, 2015 Mary Washington Men Upend Marymount, 63-61, in CAC First Round Freshman Eric Shaw scored a team-high 17 points to lead the University of Mary Washington men's basketball team to a 63-61 victory at Marymount University on Tuesday night in the Capital Athletic Conference tournament first round. The sixth-seeded Eagles will visit Salisbury University on Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. in the semifinals.
