February 18, 2017 ’Wick’s Season Comes to an End in 90-88 Heartbreaker in Overtime to St. John Fisher ONEONTA, NY – Needing a victory in its final regular season game for an Empire 8 playoff berth, the Hartwick men’s basketball team (16-9) fell two points short, dropping a 90-88 overtime decision to regular season champion St. John Fisher Saturday at Lambros Arena.
February 17, 2017 Hartwick Rallies from Seven-Point Deficit with Under a Minute Left for Big Win Over Nazareth, 80-79 ONEONTA, NY – In a much-needed win, the Hartwick men’s basketball team (16-8, 9-6 E8) gutted out a nail biter over Nazareth, 80-79, on Friday night at Lambros Arena. The Hawks found themselves down 79-72 with under a minute to play, but rallied for the final eight points over the last 54 ticks of the night for a miraculous 80-79 victory.
February 11, 2017 Hawks Overpowered by Ithaca on the Road, 92-77 ITHACA, NY – In a game carrying playoff implications for the Hartwick men’s basketball team, the Hawks fell 92-77 at Ben Light Gymnasium Saturday afternoon to host Ithaca. The Bombers used nine scorers, six in double-figures, to complete the season sweep of the Hawks and move to 8-15 and 4-10 Empire 8. ’Wick drops to 15-8 and 8-6 in league play.
February 7, 2017 Hawks Command Early and Put Utica Away, 87-72 ONEONTA, NY – In now the second to last week of league action, the Hartwick men’s basketball team used four Hawks in double figures to propel them to an 87-72 victory over Utica Tuesday night at Lambros Arena. The Hawks’ backcourt combined for 50 points in the win to boost the team to 15-7 overall and 8-5 in Empire 8 play. With the loss, the Pioneers are now 6-15 and 6-6 in the league.
February 4, 2017 Sinicki’s Double-Double Leads Hartwick Past Alfred, 80-73 ALFRED, NY – In an up and down game featuring seven ties and 11 lead changes, the Hartwick men’s basketball team used a 14-9 run with just over five minutes to play for an 80-73 road victory over Alfred on Saturday evening at Terry S. Galanis Family Arena.
