January 20, 2017 Strong Fourth Quarter Propels #13 Tartans to Victory Against #23 Rochester The 13th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team defeated 23rd-ranked University of Rochester, 71-62, on Friday, January 20 at home in Skibo Gymnasium. The Tartans improve to 14-1 on the year and 3-1 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) while the Yellowjackets drop to 11-4 and 2-2.
January 15, 2017 #15 Carnegie Mellon Tops NYU, 66-61, to Complete Weekend Road Sweep The Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team, ranked 15th nationally, defeated New York University, 66-61, on Sunday, January 15 in University Athletic Association (UAA) play behind two 20-point scorers in senior Jackie Hudepohl and freshman Katharine Higgins. Carnegie Mellon moves to 13-1, 2-1 while NYU is now 10-4, 0-3.
January 13, 2017 #15 Tartans Collect Road Win at Brandeis, 65-58 The inside-outside combination of senior Lisa Murphy and freshman Makayla Filiere led the 15th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s basketball team to its seventh road win of the season when it topped Brandeis University, 65-58, on Friday, January 13. The win moves Carnegie Mellon’s record to 12-1 overall and 1-1 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) while the Judges fall to 9-4, 1-1.
January 7, 2017 #10 Tartans Suffer First Defeat of Season The Carnegie Mellon University women’s basketball team hosted Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, January 7 to open the University Athletic Association (UAA) season for both squads. The Spartans’ defense led them to an 87-78 upset of the Tartans, ranked 10th in the nation and undefeated going into the game.

December 30, 2016 Murphy Sets Career Rebounding Record as Carnegie Mellon Tops Penn State Behrend, 85-61 The Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team hosted Penn State Behrend in its final non-conference game of the season on Friday, December 30. The 12th-ranked Tartans topped the Lions, 85-61, to run its record to 11-0 behind two double-double performances and a career rebounding record for senior Lisa Murphy.
