January 29, 2016 Carnegie Mellon Men’s Basketball Upsets No. 22 New York in the Big Apple, 85-80 The Carnegie Mellon University men’s basketball team traveled to New York to play the 22nd-ranked Violets of New York University on Friday, January 29. In the University Athletic Association (UAA) contest, the Tartans ended their six game skid with an 85-80 victory. The win moves Carnegie Mellon’s record to 8-9, 1-5 while NYU moves to 13-3, 3-3.
December 30, 2015 Carnegie Mellon Upsets #13 Franklin & Marshall The Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team led from wire-to-wire and upended the 13th-ranked Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall College on Wednesday, December 30, 74-54, on the hardwood of Skibo Gymnasium. The win improves the Tartans' record to 6-3 while Franklin & Marshall is now 7-2.
February 8, 2015 Tartans Defense Fuels 25-Point Victory Over Chicago The Carnegie Mellon University men’s basketball team continued University Athletic Association (UAA) play and turned in a stellar defensive outing in a 73-48 victory over visiting University of Chicago. The Tartans recorded a season-high 11 blocks while improving to 12-8 and 3-6 in UAA play. Chicago moves to 14-6, 6-3.
February 6, 2015 Carnegie Mellon Upsets #12 Washington University The Carnegie Mellon University men’s basketball team had three players score in double figures as the Tartans upset the 12th-ranked Bears of Washington University 72-59 on the hardwood of Skibo Gymnasium Friday, February 6. The University Athletic Association (UAA) victory improves the Tartans record to 11-8, 2-6 while Washington is now 15-4, 4-4.
