December 14, 2016 Pride springs major upset Springfield was 0-2 against the NESCAC and Amherst was 2-0 against the NEWMAC, but neither trend held on Wednesday night. Springfield built a 10-point lead and held on to beat top-ranked Amherst 71-70 at Blake Arena.

December 8, 2016 Awesome Dawson shot lifts Amherst Jayde Dawson's game-winning shot with less than a second to play in double overtime gave No. 1 Amherst a 99-97 victory over No. 2 Babson.
