Freshman guard Jerimicha Parker scored a game-high 13 points tonight as Heidelberg upset No. 14 Baldwin-Wallace 52-41 in an Ohio Athletic Conference women's game at the Seiberling Gymnasium in Tiffin.
With its win, Heidelberg is now 12-8 overall and 8-5 in the OAC. With its loss, B-W fell to 17-3 overall and 10-3 in the OAC.
In addition to Parker, Heidelberg also received 12 points from Liza Simrell and 11 from Heidi Galm. Baldwin-Wallace was led by senior guard Natalie Winkelfoos with 11 points. She was the only B-W player to score double figures.
In the first half, Heidelberg led by as many as 11 points at 21-10 with 1:58 left before the intermission when Parker canned a jumper. Heidelberg also led at halftime, 21-14. In the second half, B-W cut Heidelberg's lead to as low as one point at 34-33 with 8:26 left when backup center Heather Eckstein canned a jumper. Heidelberg then outscored B-W 18-6 to lead by as many as 13 points at 52-39 with 33 seconds left in the game.
