Oswego State's Kayla Ryan Named Second Team All-SUNYAC

Oswego State senior forward Kayla Ryan has been named to the All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Basketball Second Team as voted on by the league's coaches for the fourth consecutive year.  Ryan ranked fourth in the league at 14.9 points and ninth in rebounding with 6.6 boards per game.

The Schaghticoke, N.Y. native led the Lakers in overall scoring for the fourth straight season with 388 points and paced the team in rebounding with 172.  For her career, Ryan finished with 1,398 points, which ranks third, and 677 rebounds, which ranks ninth. She becomes the third player in program history to receive all-conference recognition for all four years.

The Lakers finished the season at 12-14 overall and 7-11 in league play to earn the sixth seed in the SUNYAC Tournament before losing to eventual champion Oneonta in the quarterfinal round.
