More news about: Mount Union

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Down by as many as nine points in the first half and seven at halftime, No. 18 ranked Mount Union outscored Grove City, 41-12 in the second half en route to a 65-43 non-conference women's basketball win Monday in Grove City, Pa.

Senior guard Katie Crider (Brunswick/Brunswick) came off the bench and hit four three-pointers, three in the second half, as part of a team-best 13-point effort.

Crider's three-pointer with 12 minutes to play gave the Mount Union a 43-41 lead and Purple Raiders never looked back as they finished the game on a 22-2 run.

Fellow senior Lauren Forquer (North Canton/Green) had 12 off the bench and Amanda Rose (Uniontown/Green) tallied 11 as the other Raiders in double digits.

Mount Union raises its record to 13-2 overall and runs its non-conference regular season win streak to 16 games.

Mount Union returns to Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday at 2 pm against Otterbein at The McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex in Alliance.
