Three things you need to know...
-Tonight's contest marked the 41st all-time meeting between Nichols and Fitchburg State. The Bison have won two-straight and four of the last six meetings with the Falcons, but still trail the series 22-19.
-Nichols has now won two-straight and six of its last eight season-openers.
-Freshman Jaekwon Spencer scored the first points of his collegiate career for Nichols as he converted 4-of-5 from the free throw line.
"This was a hard-fought win on the road against a talented team. I was very happy with our defense in the first half. We need to keep working hard to develop consistency on that end for 40 minutes. We had a balanced attack offensively with six guys in double figures." -Nichols head coach Scott Faucher
