Field of 62 announced for NCAA DIII Tournament; Gulls to travel to Oswego State

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Committee announced their selections for the 62-team NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament and the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Champions, Endicott, will travel to Oswego State for their first round game at the end of this week.

The game will be played on Friday, March 2nd at 8:00 pm in Oswego State's Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego, New York.  Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students with a valid ID.  The Campus Center Box Office hours are 10 am - 5 pm Tuesday through Wednesday and 10 am - 6 pm Thursday through Friday and may be reached at (315) 312-3073.  Online tickets may be purchased at tickets.oswego.edu beginning Tuesday, February 28 at 10 am.  Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

The Gulls (20-8) will be facing off against an Oswego State program that won the SUNYAC Championship 66-57 over Cortland, capping off a 3-0 run in the conference tournament, an unblemished 18-0 mark in league play and a 25-3 season overall.  It was their first SUNYAC Championship in 47 years. 

Oswego State is one of fourteen sites hosting a pod of four teams for first round action.  The winner of the Endicott-Oswego State game will face either Eastern Connecticut State or Medaille.  Second round winners will advance to one of four sectional round sites on March 9th-10th.  Winners of the four sectional games will advance to the finals on March 16th and 17th at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia.  All games, except the finals, will be played on the campuses of competing institutions.
