Sheley's 17 helps Oles top McPherson
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Tucker Sheley had 17 points to lead St. Olaf to a 66-54 victory over McPherson College on Sunday in the final round of the UW-Platteville Thanksgiving Classic.
Sheley made four three-pointers in the first half as St. Olaf (5-0, 0-0 MIAC) never trailed and led by as many as 25 in the opening frame.
McPherson was within 10 on two occasions in the second half, but St. Olaf closed out the game by making 18-of-24 at the free throw line.
Bobby Fong added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Oles, who are off to a 5-0 start for the first time since 1995-96.
McPherson was paced by Aaron Jackson and Samson Shivers who had 12 points each.
