1. The contest begins at 6:00 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, March 6, 2008, and closes at 4:00 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, March 14, 2008. No purchase necessary. Limit one entry per person. If it is discovered that you attempted to enter more than once per person, all your entries will be void.
2. The contest is open to all persons 18 years of age or older except employees of the City of Salem, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, D3sports.com and their immediate families.
3. All registrants must provide a valid name, email and phone to participate. Any partial registrations will be deemed invalid. Registrants must be 18 or older to enter.
4. Contest winner will be selected by random draw made by the City of Salem from all eligible entries received by the posted contest registration deadline. The random selection will take place on Friday, March 14, 2008. The contest winner will be notified by email and/or phone. Entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of the City of Salem, which are final.
5. The selected entrant will be contacted by phone or e-mail within twenty-four (24) hours after the draw. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted at the e-mail address or phone number given within one (1) day of being selected, he/she will not be eligible to win the prize and an alternate entrant will be randomly selected.
6. Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. The City of Salem reserves the right to make prize substitutions of equivalent kind or value without prior notification. D3sports.com is not responsible for matters regarding prizes.
7. All contest entries become the property of the City of Salem and D3sports.com. The City of Salem and D3sports.com assume no responsibility or liability for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the Web site during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.
8. The City of Salem reserves the right, in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate this contest if, in its opinion, the proper conduct of this contest becomes unfeasible or corrupted for any reason, in whole or in part, including but not limited to, a computer virus, bug, computer malfunction, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of the City of Salem which affect the administration, security, fairness or conduct of the Contest.
9. Winners will agree to hold D3sports.com, its officers, directors, agents, sponsors, and representatives harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or contest.
10. Entrants, by entering this contest, consent to the use of their name and/or photograph, without compensation, in any future publicity carried out by the City of Salem and D3sports.com in connection with this contest.
