86, Salem State 64 The Corsairs (25-2) advance to the NCAA's Sweet Sixteen round which will take place March 9 and 10. The host school for the Corsairs' sectional round will be announced on Sunday. Mass-Dartmouth took control of the game in the first half, building a 36-20 lead at halftime. The Vikings (22-6) narrowed the lead to 11 points early in the second half before Mass-Dartmouth put the game away midway through the second half. Houtman's 26 points included 3 three pointers for the Corsairs, who are the Little East Conference regular season and tournament champions. Nick Cecilio added 15 points for Mass-Dartmouth, while Brian Cagle added 14. MIke Kmiec was Salem State's leading scorer with 16 points and Prince Baez added 11 points. The victory was Mass-Dartmouth's seventh in a row. |
