MARYVILLE, Tenn. — Maryville advanced to the second round of the Men's 2001 NCAA Division III Tournament with a 85-69 victory over visiting MacMurray. Maryville (23-4) will now travel to face Wittenburg (23-3) in the second round of the tournament.

Maryville trailed at the half 31-29 with its two leading scorers, Matt Ennen and Brent Watts having 6 and 0 points respectively. But each came alive in the second half to lead the Fighting Scots to the victory. Ennen finished with 22 points while Watts added 17.

MacMurray finishes the season with a record of 14-11.
