April 25, 2017 Ozarks takes Texas-Dallas alum as coach The University of Ozarks named Travis Carruthers as its new head men's basketball coach. Carruthers played and coached at Texas-Dallas and then at Howard Payne.

April 25, 2017 Schreiner takes Rhodes assistant Schreiner University turned to Samantha Davidson as its next head women's basketball coach. She has spent time coaching in Tennessee at the high school, Division I and Division III levels since graduating from Birmingham-Southern.

April 25, 2017 Funk retires from Johns Hopkins After 31 years and more than 500 victories, Nancy Funk announced her retirement as Johns Hopkins' women's basketball coach on Tuesday. Her announcement coincides with the retirement of the Blue Jays' long-time men's coach Bill Nelson.

April 24, 2017 Earlham coach steps down Earlham College announced that Melissa Johnson will not return as the Quakers' head coach following a long battle with life-threatening health issues. Johnson cited "a major setback" in her decision to resign.

April 21, 2017 Bridgewater looks far north for new coach Bridgewater (Va.) tabbed Sarah Gaffney as the third coach in the program's history, replacing recently retired Jean Willi. Gaffney spent the last three seasons as head coach of Keuka College in Upstate New York.

April 21, 2017 Broadhurst to Lead Keuka women’s basketball Gary Broadhurst will become the 13th women’s basketball coach in Keuka College history, replacing Sarah Gaffney who left to take the head coaching job at Bridgewater College in Virginia.

April 20, 2017 Eureka coach stepping down Steve Thompson, who was the SLIAC Coach of the Year last season, is stepping down from his job as women's basketball head coach. He will remain Eureka's Director of Athletics

April 20, 2017 Ferr-enough: Tharp steps down After 12 seasons as Ferrum's head coach, Bill Tharp has decided not to return to the Panthers' sideline next season. He leaves as the program's all-time leader for coaching victories since it moved to Division III in 1985.

April 14, 2017 Rock out, Whittier: Poets change coaches Rock Carter announced he is stepping down as Whittier's head men's basketball coach.. Assistant Mark Jensen will be the Poets' interim head coach through the 2017-18 season.

April 11, 2017 Goucher names Preston as head coach Goucher named Andrea Preston as its new head women's basketball coach. Preston was previously the head coach at Hiram and Clarkson before joining Dixie Jeffers' staff at Capital for three seasons.

April 8, 2017 Payne logs off, heads to D1 Puget Sound head coach Loree Payne is leaving the Loggers to become a Lumberjack. She will be the next head coach at Division I Northern Arizona University after leading UPS to its first outright NWC title in program history.

April 8, 2017 Sul Ross hires new women's coach again Sul Ross State hired Katie Novak Peebles as its next head women's basketball coach. She replaces Caleb Henson who resigned In January, less than 10 months after being hired.

April 7, 2017 JCU keeps it in the family After Mike Moran retired as head basketball coach at John Carroll, the Blue Streaks turned to his son Pete to take his place. Pete was an assistant under his father the past five seasons.

April 7, 2017 Kevin Hopkins named Muhlenberg men's basketball coach Kevin Hopkins, a player and coach at one of the most successful programs in Division III, is the new head men’s basketball coach at Muhlenberg College.

April 5, 2017 Skarzenski returns to alma mater MaryLynn Skarzenski is returning to Nichols College where she was a four-time all-star and conference player of the year. Skarzenski had just finished her fourth season as the head coach at Mitchell College.

April 3, 2017 Jimmy Smith returns to D3 Jimmy Smith, who had short but successful tenures as the head coach at Schreiner and Texas Lutheran, is returning to Division III after one year as a Division I assistant. He's the next head coach at Millsaps College.

March 31, 2017 Valley Forge hires new coach Valley Forge named DJ Damazo, who was an assistant at nearby Eastern University, as its new head coach for men's basketball.

March 30, 2017 PLU picks new men's coach Pacific Lutheran named Chad Murray, who coached at Cornell and played at Chapman, as its new head men's basketball coach. He replaces Steve Dickerson who retired at the end of last season.

March 29, 2017 Mueller steps down at Nebraska Wesleyan After four seasons at Nebraska Wesleyan, Britni Mueller has stepped down to spend more time with her family. The Prairie Wolves went 13-13 last season for their first non-losing campaign in over a decade.

March 28, 2017 Braden moves to Sewanee Tracey Braden, head women's basketball coach of Westminster (Mo.) for the past 10 years, is moving to Sewanee.

March 24, 2017 Aanonsen moves from Lakeland to WLC Aaron Aanonsen is moving from Lakeland to Wisconsin Lutheran to become the Warriors' new head men's basketball coach. He will replace Skip Noon who will focus on his duties as school's athletic director.

March 23, 2017 Berry's coach Dunn and moving on Stephanie Dunn resigned from her position as Berry head women's basketball coach to take a high school coaching job. Thomas Johnson, who was an assistant coach for the men's team, will fill the vacancy.

January 31, 2017 Schlosser stepping down at E-town Elizabethtown announced that long-time head coach Bob Schlosser will retire at the end of this season, wrapping up a career that spanned 27 years, more than 350 victories and a national runner-up appearance in 2002.
