Tom Griffith has resigned his position as head women's basketball
coach at Misericordia, effective Jan. 24, 2012.
David Martin, the school's director of athletics and former men's basketball coach, will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the 2011-12 season.
Griffith was in his eighth season at the helm of the women's basketball program at Misericordia where he also served as coordinator of athletics facilities. He compiled a 116-83 record and guided the Cougars to three consecutive MAC Freedom tournament berths.
The Cougars, 9-7, will play a conference game at King's, Wednesday.
