Cassie Pruzin hit a three-pointer with 2:45 left to give defending national champion DePauw an 80-78 lead, but it was UW-Whitewater which scored the last five points as the Warhawks ended the Tigers' repeat hopes, 83-80 in the sectional final.

Whitewater advances to play Howard Payne in the national semifinals, with the final four teams meeting at Holland, Mich., next weekend to decide the 2008 women's basketball national champion.

Saturday's women's scores as well as the updated women's bracket.

Anna Findlay scored 28 of her 44 points in the second half as Oglethorpe continued its Cinderella run all the way to Holland, Mich., beating Kean 98-86 on Kean's home floor. Katie Kulavic and Tina Grace added 17 points and eight rebounds apiece for the Stormy Petrels, who reach the Final Four after having never won an NCAA Tournament game before this month.

Nikki Lobach shot just 4-for-11 from the floor but was 11-for-14 from the foul line en route to 19 points as Messiah beat Tufts 55-49. The Falcons overcame a 38-29 rebounding deficit in part thanks to 23 Jumbos turnovers.

There was no stopping Meia Daniels, no matter how many Hope defenders tried.

HPU: Last unbeaten standing
BROWNWOOD, Texas -- In an exciting showdown worthy of two undefeated teams, No. 2 Howard Payne tipped No. 1 Hope 53-49 behind an All-American performance by Meia Daniels. Daniels scored 37 points, including a three-pointer with 1:32 left to give the Yellow Jackets the lead for good.

Daniels scored 15 of the Yellow Jackets' first 17 points and took almost half of their field goal attempts in the game (24 of 53). “If this was in the middle of the season you’d want more balance to the offense,” said coach Chris Kielsmeir of the scoring distribution. “Not tonight. We just kept giving her the ball.”

Daniels is averaging 25 points per game in the tournament. Saturday's women's scores as well as the updated women's bracket. Scroll down for more men's and women's coverage.

Hope outrebounded Howard Payne by 20 (53-33) but the Yellow Jackets shot 18 free throws to the Flying Dutch’s six. Jordyn Boles finished with 18 points, all on three-pointers, for Hope. Full story.

Howard Payne advances to its first Final Four where it will meet No. 8 UW-Whitewater, 83-80 winners over DePauw. Scroll down for more coverage of the men’s and women’s tournament.

Salem features familiar faces
Defending champion Amherst and fellow Final Four team Washington U. will return to Salem for the second year in a row as the Lord Jeffs topped Brandeis 65-55 and the Bears beat Millsaps 57-46.

The two at-large teams couldn't cut the nets down in their conference but did so on Saturday night and could do it again in Salem.

Saturday's men's scores and updated bracket. Scroll down for continuing women's coverage.

Amherst won the rematch against Brandeis, ending the Judges' season behind Fletcher Walters' 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Kevin Hopkins added 12 and Brandon Jones 11. Brandeis had won at home against Amherst in December.

Hope clinched its first trip to Salem since 1998, defeating Wheaton 83-70 behind 23 points from Marcus Vanderheide and 15 from Derek VanSolkema. Kent Raymond, who scored 47 in the sectional semifinals, was held to 18. Ursinus ended Coast Guard's surprising run, beating the Bears 82-76 in overtime.

"Obviously, I’m so happy and proud of our kids," Ursinus coach Kevin Small said afterwards. "We worked extremely hard against a very tough Coast Guard team. We had a lot of guys contribute tonight but the difference was the way we executed in the second half."

Junior guard John Noonan had a team-high 21 points and Remy Cousart hit a pair of foul shots with 17 seconds left in regulation to force the overtime. Ursinus advanced to the semifinals for the first time since 1981.

For Wash U, it was a matter of getting the game back under control after turning the ball over 11 times in the first half and trailing Millsaps 27-18. "In the second half, it was just as much of a mental comeback as a physical comeback," said Troy Ruths, voted the Most Outstanding Player of the sectional. "Mentally coming back also helped our shot selection and that's when we seem to perform the best -- when we think about what's going on."
