The Cabrini men’s basketball team started its 2009-10 season off on the right foot Sunday, rolling to a 79-47 victory against Drew at Baldwin Gymnasium. The win marks the 100th in head coach Marcus Kahn’s eight-year career.
Senior forward Kevin Misevicius led the Cavaliers with a game-high 25 points, including 23 in the first half, on 10-for-16 shooting overall. A Colonial States Athletic Conference First Team selection last season, Misevicius added four assists and four steals versus the Rangers.
Junior forward Dom Farrello complemented Misevicius on the offensive end, scoring 16 points.
Kahn arrived at Cabrini at the start of last season having won 77 games in six seasons at Pitt-Greensburg. Named the Colonial States Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, he helped lead the Cavaliers to 22 overall victories in 2008-09, the program’s highest win total since the 1995-96 season.
