Our sponsors and your support keep this site operating Our 5th Season!
Believe it or not, we are back for our fifth season of Hoopsville. What started as a whim back in the fall of 2000, has grown into a very popular destination for coaches, players, and especially fans of Division III Basketball. And as we enter our fifth season, we are also continually improving and expanding the show. This year we are back to a three-hour format for the entire season; we are introducing more regional reports; and more coaches will be interviewed. Thanks to the partnerships with the NABC and D3Hoops.com, the fifth season of Hoopsville promises to be the only place you can hear what is going on around the nation in Division III Basketball from the opening weekend to after the championship games. Started by Dave McHugh, Hoopsville continues to be the only place for the Division III basketball fans, players, coaches, and parents to talk D-III hoops. Once again, Dave McHugh and his cast of regional reporters and correspondents will break down the week that was ... and the week that will be in D-III basketball. The show starts each Sunday night at 6 PM EST and runs for three hours and once again, the show is being broadcast from Goucher College for at least the early part of the season.
The "School of the Week" segment is a chance for you to hear from coaches, teams, and schools not everyone is familiar with. Each school is selected by Dave McHugh and others for either what they have done on the court the previous week, or how they impact other teams in their conference or region. We also chose teams from those nominated by fans, coaches, and even SID's. For more information on how you can nominate your favorite team, e-mail Dave McHugh. Once again, thanks to the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches), you will get a chance to hear more from the coaches. "Coaches Corner" returns for its second season and will continue to be the source of news and notes from the world of coaching, but also the place to tune in and hear what coaches are doing... off the bench. Programs they are involved in; committees they are a part of; even non-basketball events and news they are proud of. Remember, you will still be able to interact with the show, by simply e-mailing or instant messaging the show live on the air. And if you would like to suggest any ideas for the show, please feel free to e-mail us or post your thoughts on Posting Up. So, take the time to log on and hear what all the buzz is about. Because if you want to talk about Division III basketball... you've got to listen to Hoopsville! (Hoopsville is presented completely free for the listening public, but there are costs involved in producing the show. If anyone is interested in helping offset some of these costs, please contact Dave McHugh or Pat Coleman) |
