Union will now face Elmira, which defeated Geneseo, in Friday's 8 p.m. semifinal game at Oneonta.
Senior forward Nicole Cerniglia (Ridgefield Park, NJ/ Ridgefield Park HS) added nine points and five rebounds for Union. Union (18-8, 11-3 Liberty League) sophomore Devin Ciliberto (New Paltz, NY/ New Paltz HS) added nine points and six rebounds and freshman Michelle Rogers (Clarence, NY/ Clarence) with an additional 14 points and six rebounds.
Brockport was paced by sophomore forward Kim Schon (Corfu, NY / Lockport) with 24 points and eight rebounds and junior guard Katie Marcella (Schenectady, NY / Guilerland) with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Union shot 56.0% and hit for 60.0% in three-pointers and took a 38-26 lead into the half. Rensselaer shot 41.9% for the contest and ended their season with a 14-13 overall record. The Dutchwomen led 38-26 at halftime and kept that strong lead throughout the entire game with the biggest lead of 23 points with 11:48 left in the second half.
