Pitt-Greensburg 97, Mount Aloysius 82

GREENSBURG, PA — Despite trailing for the first 15 minutes of the game, the Bobcats bounced back to beat the Mounties of Mount Aloysius by a score of 97-82. The victory is the fifth straight for Pitt-Greensburg, who improved to 11-8 overall and 9-3 in the AMCC.

The Bobcats were led by senior Duke Cooper and junior Bill Scavincky. Cooper posted a team-high 25 points and added eight rebounds. He shot 100% from behind the arc and sank 10 of 15 from the floor. Scavincky netted 23 points and grabbed five boards. He shot 9 of 13 from the field and added a blocked shot and a game-high six steals.

The two stars were not alone with their contributions tonight. Senior guard David Winfrey totaled 11 points on the game and had a team-high nine rebounds. Sophomore Ed Montgomery shot 100% from the foul line and had 11 points on the game.

Mount Aloysius was led by Roman Mims, who posted a game-high 26 points. Sam Hanik led the team with six rebounds.

The Bobcats' next game will be Friday, February 3, when they take on the visiting Lake Erie College in an AMCC battle. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
