Carroll 73, St. Norbert 51

Waukesha, Wis. — The Carroll College men’s basketball team effectively ended its game against St. Norbert College in the first half. The Pioneers held the Green Knights to 25.9% shooting from the field in jumping out to a 32-18 halftime lead. Carroll then cruised to a workman-like 73-51 victory.

The win improves Carroll to 16-2 overall, 10-1 in the Midwest Conference while St. Norbert falls to 3-15 overall, 1-10 in league play. The Pioneers are ranked #23 in the latest D3hoops.com poll.

Four Carroll players reached double-figures in scoring, led by junior Nathan Drury’s game-high 18 points. Fellow junior Paul Toshner added 15 points and eight rebounds while senior Jason Scheper and junior Buck Colomy added 11 points each.

Only senior Josh Jaeger was able to record double-figures for the Green Knights. He finished with 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field.

The Pioneers return to action Friday, Feb. 3 when they host Lake Forest College at 7:30 p.m.
