Brooklyn 61, SUNY-Maritime 57

Brooklyn, NY — Damek Mair brought the Brooklyn College team and home crowd to life with a thunderous dunk as he drove down the lane with his team down 57-52, to cut the deficit to three. Mair then came up with a steal and then got the ball to Miguel Lopez who knocked down an open three to tie the game at 57. After a missed shot by Maritime, Lopez missed a pull-up jumper but Tes Choudri followed with a lay-up to give Brooklyn the lead for good with 2 second left. Jeffrey Jean-Baptiste locked up the victory by hitting both free throws with 1 second remaining. Brooklyn runs their record to 5-14 and Maritime is now 3-15. Up next for the BC Men is a CUNYAC match-up with Staten Island on Wednesday, February 1st.
