PURCHASE, N.Y. — Behind 28 points from senior Mike Benziger (Sonoma, Calif.) the Manhattanville Valiants cruised to an 82-57 win over the Yeshiva Maccabees.

Benziger shot 10-fo-15 from the floor and went 6-of-8 from beyond the arc in the second half to help the Valiants win six of their last seven games.

Manhattanville improves to 12-7 overall, 8-3 at home and 6-3 in the Skyline Conference.

Sophomore Donte Chisolm (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) tallied a strong game with 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Senior Jerry Fiefie (Stamford, Conn.) scored 11 points to go with six boards and sophomore Brian Fink (Queens, N.Y.) added 11 points and four assists.

For Yeshiva, junior Itzy Ribald (Dallas, Texas) led the Maccabees with 16 points, while junior Harel Vatavu (Ramat-Gan, Israel) added 12 points and four assists. Yeshiva drops to 9-8 overall and 7-4 in the Skyline Conference.

As a team, Manhattanville shot 50 percent from the floor and 55 percent from beyond the arc. Defensively, the Valiants forced 16 Yeshiva turnovers and held the Maccabees to 43 percent shooting from the field.

Manhattanville starts a two-game road swing starting on Wednesday against the Centenary Cyclones beginning at 8 p.m.
