Front Royal, VA – The men’s basketball team got their 11th win of the season this evening as they annihilated the Crusaders of Christendom 81-56 in a non-conference game Wednesday night. With the win the Bison move to 11-8 overall and 4-4 in the Capital Athletic Conference.
Leading the way for the Bison was Frank Jackson (Detroit, MI/Murray Wright) who had a team high 12 points with 6 rebounds and 1 assist. Assisting in the stampede was Robert Haney, Jr. (Ft. Wayne, IN/Indiana School for the Deaf) and Jon Mowl (Fishers, IN/Indiana School for the Deaf). Haney, Jr. bucketed 11 points and had 4 steals while Mowl tallied 11 total points and 6 steals.
As a team, the Bison totaled 33 rebounds, 21 steals, and shot 10 for 15 from the free throw line. Other notables for Gallaudet was Sekeo White (Lexington, KY/P.I. Dunbar) and Luther Weedon (Walkersville, MD/Walkersville) who both scored 8, Oyne Davis (Indianapolis, IN/Indiana School for the Deaf) had 7 points, 1 steal, and Kazeem Babatunde (Providence, RI/Rhode Island School for the Deaf) who had 6 points and 2 assists
Next up for the Bison are the Seagulls of Salisbury as they travel to Towson Maryland, Wednesday night for a CAC match-up at 7:30 p.m.
