Milwaukee, Wis.-- — On the road, the men’s basketball team (9-1 LMC, 16-5) held off a feisty Wisconsin Lutheran (4-6 LMC, 7-14)squad, 95-94 in overtime. With the Raiders down 81-79 with 4:16 remaining in overtime, MSOE went on a 10-0 run to take an 89-81 lead with just under two minutes remaining. With nine seconds left in overtime, sophomore forward Jake Gay hit a lay-up and was fouled. After hitting the free throw, the Raiders were up 95-88. Despite one three-point shot with 3 seconds left, and another at the buzzer for the Warriors, the Raiders held on to the win.


Floyd Bayiha had a season high 40 points, shooting 10-for-16 from the field and 19-for-23 from the foul line, to lead the Raiders in scoring. Senior guard Jeff Mikos and sophomore forward Scott Murphy both added 15 points in the win.


This sets up a battle for first place between the MSOE Raiders and LMC leader Lakeland College (10-1 LMC, 17-4) Tuesday, January 31 at the Kern Center. Tip off is 7:00 p.m.
