The Tommies (14-4 overall, 11-2 MIAC) maintained their one-game lead atop the MIAC race over Carleton (10-3 MIAC), a 67-65 overtime winner over St. John's. Idle Gustavus (8-4 MIAC) is 2 1-2 games back.
Rosefelt had five dunks and converted 14-of-18 attempts from the field.
Senior guard Sean Sweeney had 10 points and nine assists, junior guard Bryan Schnettler had 10 points and eight rebounds, and senior forward Joey Shimak added nine points and six rebounds. Sophomore guard Lonnie Robinson chipped in 10 points and two steals in nine minutes off the bench.
The Toms, who never trailed, used a 21-8 run midway through the first half en route to a 46-28 halftime lead. They made 17-of-29 shots in the first half (59%) and 22-of-31 in the second half (71%).
St. Thomas has won five consecutive home games by an average margin of 91-51.
The Pipers (7-11, 6-7) shot just 33% on the game and were outrebounded 46-22. Kyle Foster scored 11 points and Tony Thrasher and Zev Kujolic each tallied 10 points.
