With the win, Baldwin-Wallace improved to 17-2 on the year and 11-1 in league play, while Marietta fell to 4-15, 1-11 in OAC.
The Yellow Jackets jumped out early 14-4 after the first five minutes of play, before the Pioneers battled back with a 13-2 run, capped by an Isaiah Creasap three-pointer, to take the lead 17-16 with 11:22 remaining in the half.
At the three-minute mark, Baldwin-Wallace led 32-29, but a Tori Davis jumper sparked a 9-2 run to end the half, giving the Yellow Jackets a 44-31 advantage at intermission.
The Pioneers pulled within five points, 50-45, with 14:33 to play in the game, but another Yellow-Jacket run put the game out of reach.
Marietta finished the afternoon 22-of-65 (.338) from the field, including 12-of-36 (.333) from long range. The Pioneers pulled down 30 rebounds and had 18 turnovers in the loss. Baldwin-Wallace shot 35-of-67 (.522) from the floor and hit 7-of-15 (.467) from beyond the arc, while adding 16-of-19 (.842) from the line. The Jackets had assists on 24 of their 35 field goals, had 47 total boards and committed 17 turnovers.
Freshman Steve Luckhardt finished with a team-high 19 points, hitting 8-of-16 from the field. Craig Stewart connected on four three-pointers to finish with 14, while Chas Sponseller added 11 and Creasap had nine in the loss.
Davis paced Baldwin-Wallace with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Sekerak had 16 points, five steals and three assists. Chad Clark contributed 12 points and six rebounds. Brendan Schuler added 11 points and seven assists, while Nick Meyer finished with 11 points.
Marietta will return to action Wednesday (Feb. 1) when it hits the road to take on Otterbein at 7:30 p.m.
